C purlin
Roof and wall secondary framing for warehouses, factories and steel buildings.
View purlin machines →Choose the closest profile family below, then send a dimensioned drawing. Halcyon carries out a configuration review with our factory team against the specified material, punching and output target; no family label alone proves that a particular line can make your section.
Direct answer: Pick the profile you want to sell and open the machine that makes it. Every machine is built in our Xiamen factory to your own profile drawing; send the drawing and we reply with a configuration and price within 24 hours.

These are buyer selection families, not fixed tooling limits. Final dimensions and tolerances need an approved drawing and a sample trial for the quoted machine.

Discuss a custom profile →The profile name is only a starting point. Two drawings called “C purlin” can differ in lip, corner, hole positions and steel grade. Compare a machine proposal with the finished-section drawing and record actual sample measurements after forming.
| Profile family | Drawing detail that changes the proposal | Trial check |
|---|---|---|
| C/Z purlin | Web, flange, lip, corner, thickness and hole datum; list every C and Z size. | Measure both sections and post-changeover samples; check the intended Z overlap and hole alignment. Compare C/Z configurations. |
| Stud and track | Matching stud/track pair, service holes, flange return and cut lengths. | Test the fit of finished stud and track together, then measure holes and lengths. Review keel equipment. |
| Roof sheet | Rib geometry, formed width, effective cover width and specified lap. | Trial two sheets together; verify lap fit and installed cover width. See a cover-width trial. |
| Floor deck | Rib pitch and depth, overall width, embossing if required, and specified material. | Measure the formed section and run the specified sample length. Structural design approval is a separate check. See the sample checks. |
The trial establishes whether the agreed equipment can form the stated part under recorded conditions. It does not establish the building system's load capacity, code compliance or coating durability; obtain those from the relevant design and material evidence.
A clear PDF, DWG, DXF or photo of a marked-up sample is suitable for the first review. Our factory team must verify the final drawing and proposed machine scope.
Do not assume so from a machine-family name. Ask the supplier to identify tooling, adjustments and trial samples for every drawing in the quoted scope.
Material properties and thickness affect forming, punching and the sample acceptance plan. Quote comparisons are meaningful only when suppliers work from the same material specification.
No. A sample can demonstrate geometry and fit under stated conditions. Structural design, fastening, corrosion and code approval require separate project-specific evidence.
