Direct answer
A cable tray making machine is really a production line: decoiler, feeding and levelling, punching for the perforation pattern, roll forming of the C/U tray section, cut-off and collection. What you need depends on your tray drawings: width range, thickness, solid or perforated bottom, and whether covers and ladder parts are also made in-house. Send one drawing per part and we reply with a written line plan and quotation within 24 hours.
Price range: cable tray roll forming lines
US$65,000–98,000 (standard) · US$111,000–169,000 (premium), FOB China
Standard covers the first two configuration levels (single-profile and multi-profile / quick-change); premium covers fully automatic lines.
Final price depends on profile, thickness, speed, punching and automation. Excludes freight, import duties and installation. Send your profile drawing for a quotation within 24 hours. North American configurations (480V/60Hz, UL and local requirements) are quoted separately.
Large complete lines (e.g. truck chassis beam lines or full cable tray lines) are quoted per project, typically above US$150,000.
Manufactured in our Xiamen factory · 35+ years of roll forming experience.

What a complete cable tray line includes
| Station | What it does | What to confirm in the quotation |
|---|---|---|
| Decoiler | Holds and feeds the coil | Coil weight, inner and outer diameter, manual or hydraulic |
| Feeding and levelling | Flattens the strip before punching | Strip width and thickness range |
| Punching | Makes the perforations and slots | Hole shape, pitch, datum, unpunched zones, press or servo die set |
| Roll forming | Forms the C/U tray section | Width and height range, how width is changed, number of stands |
| Cut-off | Cuts trays to length | Stop-to-cut or flying cut, end shape, burr limit |
| Run-out and collection | Supports and collects finished trays | Table length, manual or automatic stacking |
| Covers, ladders, fittings | Separate parts of the cable support system | Separate line, separate tooling or bought-in |

One published example: the HCT-600 line
| Item | Published value | What it means for you |
|---|---|---|
| Bottom width | 100–600 mm | Range of that model; confirm your widths are inside it |
| Web (side) height | 50–100 mm | Check your side height and lip |
| Material thickness | 1.0–1.5 mm | Thicker trays need a heavier line |
| Forming speed | 15 m/min | Forming speed only, not finished output after punching, cutting and changeover |
These figures come from our Xiamen production base's published HCT-600 page (accessed 29 September 2026). They describe that model, not a quotation for your project.

What changes the price of a cable tray machine
| Price factor | Why it matters | What to send |
|---|---|---|
| Width and height range | A wider range needs more stands or an adjustable design | All tray sizes you sell |
| Thickness and steel | Thicker or harder steel needs heavier shafts and drive | Steel grade, coating, thickness range |
| Punching method | Press punching, servo dies and hole pattern change cost and speed | Hole drawing with datum |
| Cut-off | Flying cut keeps the line running; stop-to-cut costs less | Lengths and target output |
| Extra parts | Covers and ladder rails need their own tooling or line | Drawings of each extra part |
| Scope and delivery terms | Stacking, spare tooling, installation, FOB or CIF | Destination port and services needed |
We do not publish price lists because quotations differ by configuration and market.

Questions buyers ask
What machines are in a cable tray production line?
A typical line runs decoiler, feeding and levelling, punching for the hole pattern, roll forming of the tray section, cut-off and run-out or collection. Covers, ladder parts, bends, tees and splice plates are usually separate equipment or bought-in parts, so list them separately.
Can one cable tray making machine produce different widths?
A line can cover a width range if the quotation states how width is changed and which tooling is included. The published HCT-600 example lists bottom widths of 100–600 mm and web heights of 50–100 mm; confirm the range for your own drawings.
Can the same line make solid and perforated cable tray?
Often the forming section can be shared, but the supplier must show a no-punch mode, the perforated mode, the changeover and accepted samples of both trays.
How much does a cable tray making machine cost?
We quote by configuration, not from a price list. Width range, thickness, the punching method, cut-off type, stacking and delivery terms change the price. Send your tray drawings and we reply with a written quotation within 24 hours.
What should I send to get a quotation?
One drawing per tray, cover or ladder part, the hole pattern with its datum, steel grade and coating, thickness range, lengths, target output, voltage and destination port.
What to send for a quotation
One drawing per tray, cover or ladder part; hole pattern and datum; steel grade and coating; thickness range; coil width; lengths; target output; voltage and destination port. See reference projects from our Xiamen production base.
